Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show.
His name has resurfaced after Remy Ma mentioned him in ‘ShETHER’, her infamous diss track to Nicki.
In the verse, Remy basically said that Safaree wrote all of Nicki’s raps and she owes her fame to him.
Wendy asked Safaree about his past relationship with Nicki and her behaviour behind the scenes.
While he was able to dodge a few of the questions, Safaree did own up to the fact that Nicki and her team tried to stop him from appearing on the show – and Wendy lashed out at Nicki Minaj, saying, ‘Don’t try to stop the hustle!’

Speaking on his contributions to Nicki’s music: ‘It’s was a collaborative effort. She doesn’t sit there doing absolutely nothing. I was a helping force in everything to do with creating music,’ he started.
But when Wendy asked if he helped her 100% to make the music that she put out, he said, ‘Yea, of course. Everything.’
Asked if he wanted to be paid a lump sum for helping create the Nicki Minaj brand, Safaree said, ‘It’s only fair.’
However, Safaree admitted that Nicki Minaj did pay him when she earned money during their relationship. ‘I had everything I dreamed of,’ he said.
