Before enrolling in the University, Tade Ogidan had already begun movie production. He was barely 16 when he decided what he wanted to do and went for it. Tade Ogidan is a Nigerian film and television screenwriter, producer and director.
After working with the local television station for over 7 years, Tade moved on in 1990 to establish himself. Tade is the MD/CEO of OGD Pictures and OGD Music Ltd, a media production company. The first production under the company was titled Hostages, one of the movies that rocked in the 90s. Subsequently, he produced the popular Owo Blow, 1995; the movie that shot Femi Adebayo to limelight. Since then, Tade has continued to write, produce and direct blockbuster films.
In a recently published book, ‘Success Is Not Served A La Carte’, Tade Ogidan shared a few secrets to being a successful movie director. He said, “A good director listens and can see a vision and translate it in a way that everyone can understand and be immersed in it”.
Tade Ogidan is one of the 30 professionals profiled in Azuh Arinze’s Book titled, Success Is Not Served A La Carte. The book is an enlightening collection of one on one interview sessions with 30 high-profiled individuals in the country including; Christopher Kolade of Cadbury/LBS, Tony Ezenna of Orange Drugs, Anselm Madubuko of Revival Assembly, Steve Babaeko of X3M Ideas, veteran actors, Pete Edochie and Dele Odule, to name a few. The book explores the success stories of these individuals, and also provides key insights into their lives.
