Zlatan Ibrahimovic announces he is to join Manchester United
The 34-year-old Sweden international has confirmed he will be a Manchester United player next season, and will fly to the UK on Friday to sign a one-year contract.
Ibrahimovic, who became a free agent after seeing out his contact with Paris St-Germain, has agreed personal terms worth £220,000 a week with Man U, according to reports.
The prolific goal-scorer will become José Mourinho’s second signing for United, following the capture of Villarreal’s Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly.
Zlatan, who won four Ligue 1 titles in his four years in Paris, once worked with Mourinho at Internazionale FC in 2008-09. Consequently, United fans will be hoping to see him replicate his goal scoring form under the Portuguese gaffer at the Italian club.
