A 26 year old Chinese woman has committed suicide after her family refused her undergoing a C-section to deliver her baby.
Under Chinese law, the woman’s family have to give doctors the go-ahead for a caesarean and in this case, her relatives reportedly said no.
She had repeatedly told her family members on August 30 that she couldn’t bear the pain she had been going through after the doctors advised against a natural birth.
According to reports, the doctors felt the procedure would be too risky.
The deceased, who had the surname, Ma, was admitted to the hospital where she was examined and it was discovered that the baby had a large head circumference and couldn’t be born naturally.
But due to Chinese law, her family had to agree for her to undergo a C-section, yet refused despite doctors trying to convince them on the risks involved with the natural birth process.
After several days of pleading, the lady jumped from the 20th floor of the hospital where she was admitted.
