Chibuzor Orji popularly known as Faze was a member of Nigerian pop group, Plantashun Boyz. After the group split in 2004, he launched a solo career.

That same year, he got signed to Westside Music. He released four albums: “Faze alone” (2004), “Independent” (2006), “Originality” (2008), and “Refazed” (2012). He emerged winner in Hip-hop World Awards 2006 as “Best vocalist”. He won “Best Choreography video” at SoundCity Awards 2008.

The singer has collaborated with many acts, including Wyclef Jean, Akon, and Busta Rhymes. In 2011, he made his acting debut in “Alero Symphony”.


He produced the movie’s soundtrack which earned him an Africa Movie Academy Award in 2012. He was the second most active member of the rested Plantashun Boiz, after 2face. But little has been heard from him since the release of his fourth album in 2012.

Responding to fans’ requests in 2015, Faze took to Twitter, to announce he was working on his fifth studio album “2000NFAZE”.The album is yet to be released.
