The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall arrived Nigeria Tuesday afternoon as part of a nine-day tour of Africa. They had earlier visited the Gambia and Ghana.
Emir of Kano, Muhammed Sanusi II, arrived in a classic motorcade, while Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, arrived to traditional chants by his aide.
The royal couple, who earlier met with President Buhari at the Villa, are expected to partake in a series of events during their three-day visit.
It is Prince Charles’ third visit to Nigeria, after he first visited the country with his late wife, Princess Diana, in 1990. It is, however, Camilla’s first visit to Nigeria.
