President Buhari in an interview in the UK had said that most of the Nations youth sit in their homes and do nothing, expecting free healthcare and education because Nigeria is an oil producing Nation; a comment which quickly went viral, saw Nigerians on Social Media trending the hashtag, #LazyNigerianYouths.
In an Interview with NET TV’s Producer, JOAN OMIONAWELE, Darey Art Alade, however, tried to clarify that the President did not use the word ‘Lazy.’
‘You are putting words in the President’s mouth, this is where you insert the actual footage of what the President said. The President should be more proud of what young people are doing, regardless of our issues, we definitely have problems, we have a large percentage of youths who are uneducated, so I think that we should focus more on our positives, so we should try and inspire and galvanize ourselves more’ Darey said
