The book ‘Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House’, written by Michael Wolff moved 48,448 positions up on Amazon’s bestseller list to reach the no. 1 spot before its release.
The book which had not much good to say about Trump or the entire Trump administration is set to be released on January 9 but has had a few excerpts leaked. Yesterday, the Guardian and numerous other media houses were talking about it and that may have been a reason why the book moved so rapidly.
The reason this jump is very surprising is that it is a political book and the first 50 spots are usually filled with commercial papers and fictional stories on the best sellers list. As at the time the book attained its number 1 position, there were no other political books in the top 50 bestsellers lists.
However trust President Donald Trump, the leader of the free world to not take such ‘malicious’ contents in the book likely. The White House and the First Lady already denied some of the claims that had been released from excerpts of the book. Still, the President is threatening to sue if Michael Wolff refuses to apologise and cease publication of the book.
John Dawsey The White House Reporter for Washington Post tweeted something regarding the threat.
Trump’s lawyers have issued a lengthy letter to Michael Wolff demanding he stop publication of book and issue an apology. Signed by Charles Harder, the lawyer who brought Gawker down.
