America Rapper, T.I‘s legal troubles have amplified as he is being charged with misdemeanour charges of simple assault, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct with a security guard in his gated community from an event that occurred in May.
The charges were filed against him at the Henry County State Court, stemming from an incident which happened two months ago at the Eagles Landing Country Club, a gated community where the rapper lives.
The altercation ensued when the security guard refused his entry into the premises, T.I. became aggressive, spewing threats and asking the individual to exit the guard station. The guard decided to call legal authorities to the location when faced with the rapper’s drunken outburst.
The rapper’s attorney Steve Sadow, however, labeled the allegations as “baseless, ill-founded and unjustified.” “T.I. never threatened or acted in a violent manner towards Euwan James, the security guard,” Sadow said.
Sadow also stated that the security guard in question has since been fired for the way he handled the situation with T.I.“Indeed, we understand the security guard was fired for the way he handled the situation with T.I. We had sincerely hoped that the Henry County Solicitor had better, more important, things to do to serve the Henry County community than prosecute an African American over a verbal dispute during an encounter with a security guard who was asleep at his post and was unwilling to provide his name to T.I. so T.I. could report the guard’s misconduct to his employer.” he concluded.
