Few arguments are more intense than that of gender equality, especially in the context of a marriage. By African standards, the man is the head of the family but in these contemporary times, women have been taking up the role of breadwinner when their husbands struggle.
Some Nigerians still want the clear traditional role of the man being the head while others are okay with the woman stepping in and running the family.
