The rumours started by Kanye West that suggested Apple might be looking to buy the streaming service Tidal? Jimmy Iovine, who heads Apple Music, has shut it down finally.
Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve.

His statement comes as a formal response to reports that Apple was interested in buying Tidal off from Kanye West’s mentor and fellow rapper, Jay Z.
Jimmy Iovine has told Buzzfeed News that they were not interested in buying Tidal or any other streaming services for that matter.
‘We’re really running our own race and not looking to acquire any streaming services’, he is reported to have said.
Tidal was first launched in 2014 by the Norwegian/Swedish technology company, Aspiro. In March 2015 it was acquired by Project Panther Ltd., a Jay Z-owned company.
Following the purchase, Jay Z relaunched Tidal as an artiste-owned subscription streaming service that claimed to pay the highest royalties to musicians.
This disclaimer might mean that though Apple paid $3b to buy Beats Music from Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, such a pay day from the Cupertino-based company is not heading towards Tidal anytime soon.
