After years of exercising her performance prowess with an array of live performances and scintillating covers with her boy-band dubbed, ‘Boogy Band’, three months ago, singer SLK dropped an original solo record titled, ‘Back To Innocence’.
As the title suggests, Back To Innocence is a lovey-dovey track that finds the vocal powerhouse reminiscing on the good old days when love was expressed in the purest form, without schemes, or the pollution that the comes with societal advancement. “Remeber the day’s many things didn’t matter, the days of simplicity and our young love, when it wasn’t a game, we don’t find any winner, it’s just the air, with you and me…”, she sang on the Kay Strings produced dancehall instrumental.
Complementing the nostalgic element that the song holds, the singer has dropped a 90s-themed video that captures the aesthetic of the good old days; blown-out afro hairdo’s, bootlegs, bright colours, etc. The Ehiz Iria directed video also features appearances by members of her Boogy Band.
