Is that your thing? Then you should take a look at these horror movies showing on DSTV this week:


This movie was released in 2011 but is very similar to what is happening around the world today.

The outbreak of a deadly virus across the world spreads fear and panic in the lives of ordinary people. Meanwhile, a group of doctors work quickly to find a cure and contain the spread of the virus.

It will be showing on Channel 106 this Wednesday, April 1st at 11:25 pm.


Snow White: A Tale of Terror

In this twisted retelling of Snow White, Lilli’s mother dies giving birth to her. Her father remarries when she is older, but his new wife becomes an evil witch who will not stop until Lilli is killed.

Snow White: A Tale of Terror will also be showing on Channel 106 this Saturday, April 4th, at 11:19 am.


A Quiet Place

Science fiction meets horror in this hair-raising movie. A family struggles to survive in a post-apocalyptic world where most humans and animals have been killed off by alien creatures who hunt with their super-hearing abilities. To avoid attention from the creatures, they have to live quietly and communicate only with sign language, until at last, they find a way to fight back.

Slender Man

A group of teenagers decide to summon Slender Man – a being known on the internet for taking kids. They discover that their attempt has been successful, and one by one, terrifying things happen to each of them.

Slender Man will be showing on Channel 108 this Thursday, April 2nd at 2:24 am, and on Friday, April 10th, at 6 am.


Little Shop of Horrors

This is a horror-comedy musical. Two shop owners in a rough part of New York decides to close their shop because of a lack of patronage. Their fortune changes when they display a plant that requires human blood to survive.

Little Shop of Horrors will also be showing on TNT Africa on Tuesday, April 7th at 1:43 pm.


The Shining

A Stephen King novel transformed into blood-curdling reality. An aspiring writer takes a job as a caretaker at an isolated hotel with his family. Things don’t go as planned, and he slowly begins to go mad from the things he witnesses.
