39-year-old fashion designer, who was due to start designing for Adidas, Richard Nicoll, sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning in his home in Sydney, Australia.
The late designer, who was described as ‘an extraordinarily talented designer and a wonderful, warm, generous human being’ by Vogue Australia’s editor-in-chief, is said to have died in the hospital after suffering a heart attack.
After graduating from London art school Central Saint Martins in 2002, it is said that his graduate collection was so good, Dolce and Gabbana bought it all.
He went on start his own fashion label, even partnering with Louis Vuitton, Top shop and several other big names.
Tributes have been pouring in since the sad news was announced, with fashion designers from all over the world sending their condolences.
Such sad news about Richard Nicoll, I met him way back when he was at central saint martins, a beautiful soul. Thinking of his loved ones.
