England showed its superiority over Tunisia as the 3 Lions secured a late victory over The Carthage Eagles at the Volvo Arena.
Harry Kane was the hero for the English side as the Tottenham forward and Captain scored a brace as they dominated the North Africans throughout the game.
Kane put England in front in the 11th minute of the game, scoring his first world cup goal.
The English team continued to push for a second goal before Kyle Walker was penalised for smacking Tunisia’s Fakhreddine Ben Youssef in the face inside the 18-yard box. Ferjani Sassi made no mistake as he fired scored from the spot on the 35th minute to get Tunisia on the scoresheet.
In the second half, England continue to find their breakthrough and it was none one else but Harry Kane who created space for himself before he nodded on the second goal off a Harry Maguire assist.
England will play their next group match against Panama on June 24 while fellow group members Belgium and Tunisia will play 24hours earlier.
