Recalled Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins has left his American club for China’s Shanghai Shenhua in a major deal.
The 31-year-old forward recently completed the move after appearing 84 times for Seattle Sounders in the MLS and scoring 43 goals. He was initially linked with a move to the English Premier League in January but his agent, Tony Harris and attorney, Soroosh Abdi sealed the move to the Shanghai club.
Obafemi Martins has in his rich career played for top clubs including Inter Milan (Italy), Newcastle United (England) and VFL Wolfsburg (Germany).
He will be joining former Chelsea star, Demba Ba at the Chinese club.
