The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped three places to 63rd position on the FIFA ranking.
According to the new list, released on May 9, 2012, and published on the FIFA and Coca Cola websites, the Nigerian national team is now number 11 in Africa.
Ivory Coast now ranks the top African team and 15th in the world. Ghana is 2nd place in Africa and 22nd in the world.
This year has seen Nigeria drop consistently on FIFA’a rankings. In January, Super Eagles were 45th on the list, but dropped to 56 in February, 57 in March, 60 in April and now, No.63.
Meanwhile, Spain maintains overall 1st position on the table, followed by Germany and Uruguay.
