Two of the newbies in the Big Brother Naija house became the ninth and tenth housemates to be evicted last night. Joe became the ninth housemate to be evicted from the house while Enkay became the tenth housemate to be taken out of the house.

The past week was very strange because the nomination process from eviction this week was different from the usual process that the housemates were already used to. The fate of each housemate was placed in the hands of other housemates and their respective groups. The housemates’ performance on the nomination tasks determines whether or not they will be placed on the chopping block for the week.

There is a twist though since there is still the veto power holder, which means that someone in the house still has the power to exchange a housemate in a losing team with another housemate from the winning team. Enkay had been on the losing team (Iconics) for the nomination task so she was automatically put up for eviction. Joe, on the other hand, had been on the winning team for the nomination task but was then replaced. Diane, who had the veto power holder for last week, had saved Sir Dee and replaced him with Joe.

Last night’s eviction show had been a very emotional one for the housemates as quite a few of them were upset that Enkay and Joe had to leave the house. Venita who had gotten close to Joe actually started crying when it was announced that he would be leaving the house. Tasha who had also had altercations with Joe the week before seemed indifferent that he had been evicted (but who wouldn’t?)

There are now only 16 housemates left in the Big Brother house. Let us know in the comment section below if the evicted housemates were the ones you had predicted will be evicted.
