The year is coming to an end and if you are yet to meet your reading goals for this year, you are in luck. Why? Well, because I have curated a small lists of books you should absolutely check out, or add to your reading list. I can guarantee you that you will find these books very interesting.
But that’s not even the best part. The best part is that there is something for you on this list regardless of which type of literature you prefer. Check them out:
- “Black Box Thinking” – Matthew Syed: The book explores the concept of marginal gains, creativity and grit so if you are looking for little ways you can improve your life or your performance at work or school, this book will be great for you.
- “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck” – Mark Manson: This one is one of my favorite books of all time and when you read it, you’ll see why. If you want to develop a much more intellectually sound worldview, then this is the book for you. It contains a lot of life hacks and gems.
- “The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Leadership” – Andrew J Rubin: If you are just getting started in your career and you want to upgrade your leadership and business management skills, or you just want to be better at working with people, this book has your name on it. Don’t dull yourself.
- “Born on a Tuesday” – Elnathan John: This book is great for many reasons but it is also an important book because it explores the Nigerian condition through a new kind of dark, satirical lens and you just can’t find that on the main road.
- “things i wanted to tell you in other words” – Seye Kuyinu: Once upon a time I used to hate poetry. In fact, I don’t love it right now but at least I get it. This book helped me do that. If you struggle with poetry this is the perfect introduction you need.
There is a lot to gain from any of these books so make sure you take your pick and dive in! You’ll thank me later. While we’re on the subject of books, would you be interested in a NET Book Club? I’m trying to see something.
