Lagos residents were left disappointed over the lack of activities at the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the horse-ride was the only available activity which few fun seekers engaged themselves with.

In separate interviews with NAN on Friday, some of the revelers described the theatre environment as ‘boring,’ wondering why there were no events put in place on a day like this.

Ayo Olanipeku, a teacher, said she was disappointed to be at the theatre with a view to watching a Yoruba movie that had been advertised before on the television only to be here and discovered it was not going to be shown.

‘I came with my children all the way from Egbeda to watch a Yoruba film that was advertised on TV, but on getting here, there is no film to be watched.

‘I just wasted my time and money to get here, only to be told that no film is on. This is shameful,’ the mother of three said.
