Popular comedian and MC Teju Babyface says his late father was his ‘chief counsellor and gentlest critic’.

The TV host’s father Prince Jacob Gbedegesin Oyelakin passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his Lagos residence after a ‘brief illness’.

Jacob Oyelakin who was a Prince of the Royal House of Ajaawa Township in the Ogbomosho area in Oyo state would have been 74-years-old in 2012.

‘He was also my Yoruba and English teacher’, Teju added while chatting with NET. ‘My mum is cool. She will be 60 soon enough. She’s one of the strong ones’.

Teju says final burial rights will take place from Thursday, January 19 to Saturday, January 21.

Teju is about concluding the first broadcast of the third season of his ‘Teju BabyFace Show’ which will air on LTV and Africa Magic in the first quarter in 2012.
