One of Nigeria’s top telecoms company, MTN Nigeria has launched its very own music app.
Called ‘Music+’, the app is a platform that provides music streaming and downloading of a wide number of Nigerian songs. It also offers users the ability to share music, create playlists and enjoy offline streaming.
The app was launched on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Federal Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos. The launch featured a performance from Nigerian singer Praiz and veteran dancehall singer Diana King. The pair performed the remix of Praiz’s ‘Mercy’, which was recorded days ago. Other performers included Sound Sultan, Harrysong, Project Fame winner Olawale and others
MTN continues to show their dominance in the Nigerian entertainment industry, leveraging on music not only as a marketing tool for their brand but as means to increase revenue generation. Others apps created by MTN include Afrinolly, Dobox, Karaoke, Songstar and the ground-breaking CRBT-MTN Callertune.
