American rapper, Lil Wayne, who regularly finds himself in the middle of baby mama dramas, is requesting a brand new trial to prove that he is not the father of his 15-year-old namesake, Dwayne Brown.
The mother of the boy, Keiotia Watson, filed a paternity suit against Wayne in 2015 and according to Ms. Watson, she conceived Dwayne for the Young Money boss in 2001. In August 2015, Watson went ahead to request for legal documents stating that Weezy was the biological father of her son and that he should pay child support for the young boy. After Weezy failed to respond to Watson’s suit, she then filed for a default judgment and the judge ordered the ‘Mirror’ rapper to pay $5,000 every month starting from January 2016.
Lil Wayne has however refused to pay a dime to Watson. The musician claims that no legal papers were served to him which resulted in absence at all the court dates. In new court paper, Wayne calls out Watson for being a fraud and is requesting a paternity test.
This is what the rapper said in his official statement:
‘I did not engage in a sexual relationship with Keiotia Watson in June of 2001 or at any other time. I have never acknowledged Dwayne Brown as my son, nor was I ever made aware of his birth until I was served with the petition. I am the loving father of four (4) children, all of whom I provided support for since birth. Up until now, I have never been involved in a child support case.’
In light of Wayne’s new legal documents, the court has set a hearing date in February and has requested that Watson be present to defend her paternity suit.
