At the time of his murder in June 2018, American rapper XXXTentacion was awaiting trial for a domestic abuse of his pregnant girlfriend. Until his death, he maintained his innocence on all of the charges, including aggravated battery of a pregnant victim, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering.
Freshly discovered recordings of him have been released where he can be heard confessing to the crimes. According to media outlet Pitchfork, he’s heard clearly talking to his friends about the crimes he had allegedly committed at the time. “I put my source of happiness in another person, which was a mistake initially, right? But she fell through on every occasion until now. Until I started fucking her up bruh. I started fucking her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand. I will kill that bitch if she play with me,” he said.
He was also heard talking about stabbing a number of people – a separate incident that police never solved. “I’m on the news for stabbing, how many people they put in the news? They said three, it was eight.”
His violent plagued life came to an end on June 18 when he was shot at point blank range while sitting in his car. Police subsequently arrested four men in connection to the murder.
