The Lagos Police force has recorded the death of two of its men on Sunday, November 11, 2012 following a shoot out with suspected armed robbers at Ejigbo and Orile –Iganmu area of the state.
Spokesperson, DSP Ngozi Braide told News Agency of Nigeria NAN on Monday, November 12, that armed robbers had engaged policemen in a gun battle at Ejigbo which led to the death of one of the robbers and the death of a police officer.
She also revealed that a shoot out between a suspected armed robbery gang and policemen from the Iponri Police Division on the Orile-Iganmu interchange bridge at about 2.30a.m had led to the death of an officer while three others sustained gun shot injuries.
She also said that the armed robbers escaped with gun shot injuries.
