The excitement for King of Boys 2 begins to rise as we acquire more sneak peeks into what might take place in the second part of the movie. Now we have a collaboration between fashion designer Mai Atafo and Kemi Adetiba for the King of Boys 2 movie.
While interacting with people on Twitter, Kemi Adetiba gave an acknowledgement of a Beat FM presenter, Adaeze Cybil Mokaeze’s (@addie_mo) tweet,
“So I’m seated with @kemiadetiba and @Mai_Atafo and they are talking about “costumes” for #KOBII and I’m just here in heaven #AMVCA7”.
She responded to this tweet with blushing emojis.

This would not be the first time Kemi Adetiba and Mai Atafo will work together as they also had a collaboration in The Wedding Party, Kemi Adetiba’s first feature film, which became the second highest-grossing movie in Nigeria. He made the outfits of the bridal train, as well as having a cameo appearance in The Wedding Party movie, playing the role of the designer of the bride’s dress.
Mai Atafo is a fashion entrepreneur and the creative director of the fashion house ATAFO. He is well known for his expertise in bespoke men’s suits and traditional outfits. He, also, is especially popular for his specialization in wedding dresses. This leads us to suspect if there may be any more romantic affiliations, between the existing casts and the new casts, that she said on her Instagram have been added to the movie. What we do know is that the costumes in the movie will surely be extraordinary.
This will be one of many hints that we already have from Kemi Adetiba about the King of Boys 2 movie. She recently released a snippet of the teaser for the movie sequel which featured a silhouette of the character ‘Makanaki’ (Reminisce), who in the first movie was seen shot dead by another gangster ‘Odogwu’. This confirms suspicions raised from her earlier tweet where the KOB director said;
“So, finally tackled the scene where Makanaki and Odogwu Malay meet (read as confront) each other for the first time in KOB 2.”
We can be sure that ‘Makanaki’ is definitely coming back!
