As unbelievable as it sounds Jennifer Lopez turned fifty on Wednesday and she partied like she was still ‘Jenny from the block’. The diva had a wild birthday party with the closest people in her life and her fiancee, Alexander Rodriguez gave us a little peep into the fabulous party she had.
E! News reports that the entire party was gold and black themed. According to the publication, one of the sources at the party who provided details on what went down, said: “The entrance featured a giant golden archway and the J.LO emblem that was used throughout the party.”
The source is said to have added that “It was glowing inside with hundreds of candles and white orchids everywhere. There was a tower of champagne glasses for guests to take and big spinning letters that spelt J.Lo. As J.Lo walked in her song ‘Jenny From the Block’ played. As she cut the cake, everyone sang along to ‘Go Shorty It’s Your Birthday.'”
Based on the tidbit we got from A-rod (as J-Lo’s fiancee is fondly called), we can say for sure that this gold theme radiated through guests at the party. Jennifer herself wore a gold dress for the party while her cake was designed in gold and black. DJ Khaled, DJ Cassidy, J-Lo’s Twins – Emme and Max, and Ashanti all performed at the birthday party. DJ Khaled and DJ Cassidy were at the turntable for most of the night while Ashanti sang her hit song with Fat Joe, ‘What’s Luv?‘
The twins sang Diana Ross‘ hit “Do You Know Where You’re Going To?” and “My Shot” from Hamilton respectively.
There were fireworks at the party, multiple toasts and Jennifer Lopez also took to the stage to sing a few of her songs for the guests. Her fiance who had made her a beautiful video at the beginning of the day also gave a beautiful speech. He expressed how much he loves her and the great journey they have been on together. Rodriguez also bought Lopez a 2019 911 Porsche Carrera GTS Cabriolet that costs about $135,000 as her birthday gift.
It seems the birthday girl had a great time at her party and we just pray this new year brings her all the joy in the world.
