James Bond director, Sam Mendes quits franchise
The renowned filmmaker directed ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Spectre’ in the long-running spy franchise.
Speaking at the Hay Festival of literature in Wales, he said: ‘It was an incredible adventure, I loved every second of it. But I think it’s time for somebody else. I’m a storyteller. And at the end of the day, I want to make stories with new characters.’
Meanwhile, Daniel Craig – who starred as 007 in ‘Casino Royale’, ‘Quantum of Solace’, ‘Skyfall’ and 2015’s ‘Spectre’ – is also set to step down from his role in the series.
