Last weekend (Friday, April 27), revered American rapper J. Cole headlined his first Nigerian concert alongside an array of Nigerian music heavyweights; Wizkid, Davido, M.I Abaga, Tiwa Savage and more, at the famous Eko Convention Centre on Lagos Island.

During Cole’s stellar performance, an excited fan jumped on stage in an attempt to make a physical contact with the rapper. Although the fan succeeded in touching the hem of J. Cole’s garment, security agents interfered just in time and bundled the fan away.

The 6,000 capacity Eko Convention Centre was almost full to capacity as thousands of fans including an array of Nigerian celebrities were present at the event. It was also gathered that a number of people who attended the event were not resident in Lagos. Fans came in from Benin, Ibadan, Port Harcourt etc to witness Cole’s performance.
