Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, recently regained his freedom following his arrest in Miami, Florida for grand theft, credit card and identity fraud.
Before then, Dammy Krane was signed to 2Baba‘s record label, Hypertek Records, until both parted ways in 2015.

Now it is claimed by an unnamed source in an interview with Punch that Dammy Krane was dropped by the label due to a breach of contract by the singer.
‘Dammy Krane had left 2face’s Hypertek record since February 2015. 2face is trying to build a reputable company and they do not want any negative news,’ the source stated.

The source added, ‘They had issues with him over the way he was doing collaborations with other artistes. It was not part of the contract that he signed, so technically it is a breach of contract.
‘They gave him several warnings which he did not adhere to, so they had no choice but to terminate the contract that they had with him.
‘They did not make any noise about it because they did not want anything that would dent his image and that of the company.

‘He was in the US to get new investor to help his career and also shoot some videos because he already had new material. He was also meant to use the opportunity to embark on his US tour.’
Meanwhile, Dammy Krane has maintained close ties with music star, Davido, amid continued rumours that he’s signed to DMW.
