Last night, fans and friends of Nigerian pop singer Mr 2Kay converged at the rooftop odeum of Tilt Terrance in Lekki Phase 1, on Lagos Island for the listening party of the singer’s second studio album titled ‘ELEVATED”.
Hosted by Media & Fashion Personality Noble Igwe, fans were treated to a live listening, tales on the inspiration behind the album and interesting backstories from Mr 2Kay on his journey so far.
“I grew up in the area of guns and drugs and it is very difficult for someone to come out of that area. Most of my friends died during the era of the militancy struggle”, He disclosed.

The Elevated is album is an essay of thanksgiving, reflection, and excitement stemming from Mr 2Kay’s glorious musical journey from the creeks in Rivers state to becoming a respectable force in the African soundscape.
Every track on the album represents a part of his journey; lessons he has learned from failed relationships, blessings he has received from the most unexpected places and the overwhelming growth he has experienced in the past seven years of his musical journey.

The event was also an opportunity for Mr 2Kay to celebrate life as he clocked 30 yesterday.
