Nigerian red carpet queen, Genevieve Nnaji disappointed her fans for missing the 2017 AMVCA in Lagos.
It’s the first time the Nollywood actress would be nowhere to be found at the show in five years.
Genevieve has been (and still is) the most-anticipated celeb on red carpet since the maiden edition of the movie awards ceremony in 2013.
AMVCA 2017: Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic and 7 other celebs we look forward to seeing on the red carpet
Her absence at this year’s ceremony which took place at Eko Hotels, on March 4 has raised many questions.
Could she be avoiding jabs for her ‘drink Amstel Malta, get fat’ gaff at last year’s edition? Or could it be because her brand, Amstel didn’t sponsor the awards ceremony this time?
Gene indeed broke the hearts of her fans for not showing up.
In other interesting news, it is that Saturday of the year, when Genevieve Nnaji makes a stunning AMVCA entrance! Whoosh!
