According to The Los Angeles Times, Knight, struck a plea deal that resulted in the sentence for intentionally ramming his Ford F-150 pickup into Terry Carter and Cle “Bone” Sloan in the driveway of Compton eatery, Tam’s Burgers during the January 2015 filming of the blockbuster film, Straight Outta Compton.
Fifty-three years old Knight agreed to one count of voluntary manslaughter, also admitting to using his truck as a deadly weapon on the day the crime was committed.
Breaking down the sentence which will begin on October 4 in Department 101 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center, The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said that the former label boss would receive eleven years for the voluntary manslaughter count, which would double due to a prior conviction under California’s three strikes law.
He will also get additional five years on over the deadly weapon allegation, seeing that it’s considered as a serious and violent felony.
Knight had originally pleaded not guilty to the crime and was facing a life sentence without the possibility of parole had he been convicted.
