American boxer, Floyd Mayweather, 41 has announced that his next fight will be against Japanese kick-boxer Tenshin Nasukawa on new year’s eve in Saitama, Japan.

Though the rules are yet to be decided, it is believed the bout will yield tens of millions of dollars.

Speaking during a press conference in Tokyo after signing the deal with Japanese mixed martial arts promotions company, RIZIN Fighting Federation, Mayweather said his decision to fight in Japan was about expanding his global profile. The boxing champion went further to say he wanted to do something different and display his skills outside the U.S in a special fight.

Mayweather’s last bout was in 2017 when he ended his two-year retirement to beat Irish MMA fighter, Conor McGregor, beating the UFC fighter and putting his fight record at 50-0 and earning close to $300 million which.
