  • Two years after Nigerian international superstar Wizkid assisted Canadian rapper Drake in creating One Dance, one of the most iconic songs of his career; the two were photographed together for the first time at an event in London yesterday.

Since the duo collaborated on One Dance, fans have been eager to see the two artistes together as Wizkid was left out of the video. Come Closer, second collabo, this time on Wizkid’s album, also did not feature Drake- leading fans to imagine that the two had actually never met.

Wizkid dismissed such claims in a 2018 interview saying he didn’t feel the need to validate his friendship with the rapper by taking photos.

‘I met Drake through Skepta, to be honest. He played my music to Drake, and he was like ‘yeah’. Skepta has been my brother even way before. Hearing that was pretty sick and amazing. I met him (Drake), it was in the club at a private party, and it was good vibes. He is cool with people too, great vibes. Big shout out to Drake and the whole OVO crew.’

The two were finally seen together yesterday and the delight on Drake’s face was very visible!
