Nigerian movie lovers and fans of Kemi Afolabi continue to panic over her safety and health, following the attack on her last weekend.
The Nollywood actress is yet to make a comeback online, two days after she was attacked by thugs in Ikorodu, Lagos during the shoot of Esan.
The hoodlums also attacked the movie producer, cameraman, and some of the crew during the incident which happened in the afternoon of Sunday, March 13, 2017.
And a number of valuable items were damaged during the incident, but the actress’ car wasn’t damaged as claimed earlier by some news platforms.
‘She (Kemi) is presently in the hospital receiving treatments,’ a spokesperson for the actress told TheNETng when we called to know the status of her health.
Kemi, who’s getting medical attention in a hospital in Victoria Island, was left bleeding after the incident.
The actress is reportedly expecting her second child with her UK-based lover, Wale Adesipe.
Her spokesperson added: ‘One of the hoodlums hit her in the tommy and since then she’s been bleeding.’
Ijaduade Azeez is the director of Esan, which is produced by the Adepeko Twins.
The director, who suffered a leg injury during the incident, recently revealed on Instagram that the shoot of the new movie has been completed.
‘After all the stress and dramas on set of Esan, thank God we are finally done with the movie,’ he shared.
Meanwhile, Kemi Afolabi is yet to be discharged from the hospital.
