EURO 2016: Spain to face Italy in round of 16
The Spanish national team ended second on Group D standings after suffering a shocking 2-1 defeat to Croatia who lead the group with 7 points.
A late goal from Inter’s Ivan Perisic last night committed the two-time titleholders who took the lead 7 minutes into the game with Morata’s strike to having to slug it out with their foe in the last Euro final, with the possibility of meeting Germany and then France in the quarterfinal and semifinal matches.
Their clash against Italy will take place on Monday night, June 27.
Meanwhile, Switzerland will go head-to-head with Poland in round of 16.
