Last night, Nigerian international pop star Wizkid sold out the Royal Albert Hall in London, making him the first African artist to achieve this feat.
The Royal Albert Hall is one of the UK’s most treasured and distinctive buildings, recognizable the world over. The hall is located on the northern edge of South Kensington, London. It has a capacity of up to 5,272 seats.
Following the Starboy’s accomplishment, an excited Twitter user asserted that ‘Wizkid has surpassed Fela to become the greatest on the continent’.
He has surpassed fela and tuface as the greatest on the continent . Hands down ! https://t.co/n6qAFUD5mK

As it is with every other conversation, everyone is taking sides with some supporting the notion and others opposing it.
Been activist or personal interest in politics or Nigeria situation apart, but musically, Wizkid is on the same level with Fela

Its disrespectful for anyone to compare wizkid to Fela, abeg Wizkid is doing well & We Are Proud of Him but STOP disrespecting Baba Fela 🙏

Comparing Wizkid and Fela is intellectual bankruptcy.
Don’t do it.
There are other topics you can engage in for mental stimulation.

Until Wizkid creates a genre of music that would be sampled by musicians around the world for the next 20 years, don’t compare him to Fela.

I love Wizkid to death but don’t ever compare him to Fela…even Wizkid will tell you to stop that shit

Yes, Fela inspired & made this path available for Wizkid. But, today and right now, Wizkid is greater & more accepted.
Success is a ladder

Fela had an international record deal in the 70s o
Talking Universal and Co.
No one is undermining Wizkid but abeg dont compare him to fela— Cinderella Man (@Osi_Suave) September 30, 2017
Until Wizkid’s mum is thrown out of d window to her death, cos he was fighting for a better Nigeria u have no right 2 compare him wit fela.
— JIMI HENDRIX (@Seunstoner) September 30, 2017
You guy argue with emotions and not facts or realities
Fela started a music genre.
His consciousness was on another level.— Cinderella Man (@Osi_Suave) September 30, 2017
Fela was way more than a musician.
Fela was culture
Fela was activism.— Cinderella Man (@Osi_Suave) September 30, 2017
What thoughts do you hold? Do you support the notion or do you think it is tad early to start comparing Wizkid to Fela?

i love wizkid music,, but comparing him with BABA Fela is not really advisable thanks
How can someone just sniff some very cheap crack and start yarning that Wizkid is better than Abami eda. This is sheer display of ignorance. Wizkid may be operating on the same level as Tuface and co. But not Fela. That he is as good as Fela, I say hell no, not to even suggest better than Fela.
Pure idiotic. How can one ever compare baba with kid. Satanic thinking.
I wanna believe that the fan is just over joyous to have utter that statement cuz even Wizkid himself knows for sure that “eleniyan” remains a great legend that can’t be matched
why can’t we compare wizkid to fela ,at wizkid’s young age he made it this far,can we all guess what wizkid will av accomplish we he get to fela’s age,so plz stop all dis nonsense, wizkid is a legend and also a one of a kind
