Nigerians have come at the Federal Ministry of Health after it stated Olamide‘s music video for his hit, ‘Wo!’ promoted tobacco and second-hand smoking.
The Ministry had earlier tweeted:
The public is informed of the dangerous public health content & violation of 🇳🇬 Tobacco Ctrl Act 2015 in “Wo” by @olamide_YBNL #ClearTheAir pic.twitter.com/oVlUI976yJ
— Health Ministry NGR (@Fmohnigeria) August 18, 2017
The content & video contains scenes that violates the ban on Tobacco Advertising, Promotion & Sponsorship provision of the act #ClearTheAir

The video promoting a dangerous habit encourages second-hand smoking. The risks include cancers, respiratory & cardiovascular diseases

But according to the people, the Ministry is simply trying to ride on the wave of the song’s popularity to get some prominence.
Trust Nigerians to go in hard!
No way Buhari was escaping mention here.

The ministry should pay attention to the general hospitals instead.

Why don’t you guys fix the economy before coming for an innocent video. Nigerian government always worried about the wrong things 🙄🙄🙄

Another reason government has a low rating in this person’s estimation.
