The public presentation of DJ Jimmy JATT‘s biography last night presented an opportunity for Nigerian entertainers to say thank you’ to the iconic jockey.
But the entertainer’s colleagues did not only shower kind words and prayers on him. Many, including Juliet Ibrahim, 2face Idibia, and Banky W doled out huge bucks during the book launch.
Our correspondent who attended the event at Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos, says Davido gave N5m, KCee pledged N2m, while the trio of 2face Banky and May D launched the book with N1, each.
The biography, ‘Avant Garde: The Cool DJ Jimmy JATT Story, a first in the Nigerian music industry, was written by the duo of Toni Kan and Peju Akande of Radi8.
Koga’s Chris Jeyibo also gave N1m while Juliet Ibrahim and Mrs Okoya donated N500K each. Sources say there are even more donations, from within and outside the industry.
