Things aren’t looking so good for rapper Meek Mill right now.
The Philadelphia rapper took the stand yesterday, Thursday, December 17 in his ongoing case for probation violation, and pleaded to the Judge that he’s changed his ways.
During the hour-long testimony, he got emotional as he referenced his girlfriend Nicki Minaj, who had previously taken the stand in his defence.
‘I’m not a gangsta. I’m not a criminal,’ he said. ‘I have my queen, Nicki now. I’m trying to do better and feel like I can be the best rapper alive.’

But the judge wasn’t on his side. According to reports, she was said to have found him in ‘technical violation’ of his probation, setting February 5, 2016 date for his sentencing and ruling that he cannot leave a five-county area around Philadelphia or perform at any event in or outside Philly.
Meek’s probation stemmed from when he was convicted of gun possession and drug dealing back in 2008, sentenced to 11 to 23 months in prison.
His probation was officially revoked last year, and he served a six-month sentence in prison from July to December 2014.
