Following a successful third edition of his free storytelling workshop, Nigerian filmmaker and entrepreneur Chris Ihidero takes things one step further by headlining at an all-new TV writing masterclass being run this May: from May 28 to June 1; by the newly-launched Lagos Film Academy.
Chris Ihidero was an obvious choice to headline the upcoming masterclass as has been telling stories professionally for 21 years. He was a producer on the ground-breaking HIV and behavioural change focused drama series Shuga Series 4 in 2015, and he resumed this role on Shuga Series 6 in 2017.
He was the Head Writer of Africa Magic’s Hush and is the Head Writer of new hit show Forbidden. He has also directed over 100 hours of TV drama, including Fuji House of Commotion, Tempest and Now we are Married.
A member of Raindance Academy, the UK’s biggest independent filmmaking body, Chris Ihidero has participated in story Masterclasses facilitated by Hollywood’s top script/story consultant and author of the classic Anatomy of Story, John Truby.
Chris Ihidero is passionate about positively impacting the Nigerian creative industry with appropriate skills and development capacities.
The first ever five-day workshop holds from May 28 to June 1.
The aim of the workshop according to the Lagos Film Academy is to educate writers who are wondering how great TV shows are written and would like to write for TV and make money while doing so.
