Nearly two months after shutting down the internet with ‘This Is Nigeria’, an extremely compelling adaptation of Childish Gambino’s This Is America, Falz the Bahdguy has dropped a cinematic video for ‘Child Of the Word’.

Child Of the World which is off his third studio album 27, saw the artiste shinning a light on the challenges of sexual abuse victims as he narrates a resonating story of a girl who was violated by her uncle. In resent, the rape victim (which was played by Bam Bam of Big Bother Naija) resorted into sex-hawking which brought her promising future to a halt after she contracted the dreaded HIV virus. “Am I a fool, shey I don go astray, Am I a victim of my circumstance”, he rapped as the Kemi Adetiba directed video perfectly interpreted the narrative.

Unable to deal with the disappointment and pain of her new reality, the victim began to consider suicide as she made an attempt to drown herself. Falz soon interrupted her suicidal decision by playing the role of a voice in her head.

The compelling video perfectly depicted the reality in our society. The reports of rape and suicide have been on an increase so it is laudable to see Falz shed a light on the discourse.
