Burna Boy has released the video for his song “Pull up” which is a part of the newly released album, ‘African Giant’. Burna Boy released ‘African Giant’ on the 26th of July and the album has been receiving widespread acclaim all around the world.
With all the recognition that Burna Boy has been receiving this month, it only makes sense to start dropping the videos for songs on the album. ‘Pull Up’ is also one of the biggest songs from the album so it is no surprise that this is the first video he is releasing since dropping the album.
The fun video which was directed by Meji Alabi has a retro vibe to it with bright colours, classic cars and a proper deli. His choice of models for the video is also very commendable. The girls in the video have a wide variety of melanin, from the very dark-skinned girl to the light-brown girl, it’s just beautiful to see. Burna Boy himself rocks a bright yellow jumpsuit and a shirt of the same colour. The aesthetics for the video is just all shades of amazing.
The fact that the girls were properly clothed with minimal makeup just gives him more points in our book. We are honestly having another “Burna ma pa mi now” moment with this video as he took us to the “year 2000 and gbese”.
