The fourth edition of Big Brother Naija is back and even better as the event organizers have announced that Africa’s biggest reality TV show will hold in Nigeria.
Fans who have been anticipating the comeback of the show can take a chill pill now because the auditions will also take place at eight different locations in Nigeria on the 1st and 2nd of February.
These locations include Lagos, Abuja, PortHacourt, Calabar, Warri, Ibadan, and Benin and Enugu.
According to the General Manager, Sales and Marketing of Multichoice Nigeria, Martin Mabutho, the show will last 90 days and the construction of the house is underway. “We have been running shows from other territories and we want to take our time to invest in a big brother house that is strictly according to global standards,” Mabutho said.
Since it’s been over a decade since the show was held in Nigeria, the organizers have assured Nigerians that security measures have been taken to ensure the safety of all the housemates and the production crew during the course of the show.
And of course, to match the show with the standard of its counterparts in the UK, the organizers have also assured Nigerians that the right measures have been taken to ascertain the psychological and mental status of the youths who will pass through the auditioning process.
Although the cash prize has not been revealed yet, the regional director of Multichoice, Wangi Nba Uzoukwu, told pressmen that the prize money, as well as the number of housemates to go into the house, will be revealed soon.
Last year, Multichoice pulled off a successful show with over 170 Million votes cast by fans during the course of the show. The show came to a ceremonial close with Miracle Ikechukwu emerging the winner of the 25Million Naira Price and a brand new SUV worth N12Million.
