Arsene Wenger has received a four-game touchline ban from the English FA following an incident between him and the match officials last Sunday.
Despite apologising for his actions, the Arsenal manager was also fined £25,000 (about N10m).
Wenger had pushed fourth official Anthony Taylor after being sent off by referee Jonathan Moss.
This occurred in the closing stages of Arsenal’s dramatic 2-1 win over Burnley in a Premier League match.
At the time of Wenger’s sending off, Burnley had been awarded a 93rd minute penalty which the away side converted.
That allowed the visitors level the match at 1-1 and put Arsenal’s title aspirations in jeopardy.
However, Arsenal earned themselves a 98th minute penalty which Alexis Sanchez coolly scored to secure the 2-1 win.
That result allowed the Gunners move from fourth to second place on the Premier League table.
Chelsea remain top of the league though, eight points ahead of Arsenal.
And a match against the Blues early in February is one of the games Wenger will now miss as a result of the touchline ban.
Others are the FA Cup fourth round encounter at Southampton this weekend as well as league matches at home to Watford and Hull City.
