Apple unveiled its brand new iPad yesterday at an education event in Chicago. The latest addition to the iPad series features an updated A10 processor, Apple Pencil and a missing Smart Keyboard connector.
The reveal took place at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago. The brand new iPad model, which was made with students in mind, features updated versions of Apple’s spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications.
Apple is also releasing a new platform called Classkit, which is focused on education systems. Free iCloud storage, as well as discounts for Apple Pencil, were also announced yesterday. The coolest detail about the new tablets, however, is the price tag. Schools can purchase the new iPad for $299 while consumers can get it for $329.
