His friend, co-founder of the African Achievers Award, Ambassador David James Egwu, said ‘Collins’ demise is really sad. The death of Adeyemi calls for sober reflection. What really killed Adeyemi remains a mystery to me as we were both at the award event together. Unfortunately, before his death, he told me he was not feeling too well and we did not even know he would make it to the event but he did; only for me to get a call early this morning that Adeyemi is gone.
Audu Maikori, Chocolate City president also wrote, ‘I just heard about the death of my big brother and friend Mr Collins Adeyemi and I am dumbfounded! I met him about 13 years ago in Abuja and was actually helping him and my client at the time to put together a contract for branded taxis for the FCT and we became quick friends shortly after he contacted me to help him draft a management contract for an artiste – Muma Gee and in a sense that was my first official music management contract I drafted… The commercial terms didn’t work so the deal wasn’t consummated but by this time we were bonafide brothers and we eventually did do some great projects together’.
US based medical doctor, Malachy Asuku wrote, ‘May your gentle soul find repose at the bosom of the Almighty God. Amen. And may the good Lord grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. Amen. Rest in peace, Collins.
His close friend, Muyiwa Jacobs wrote, ‘I’m still in shock. To think that a few days ago we were still throwing banters about the good old days and dance steps only for me to get this news. Unbelievable!!!! Still seems like it’s a bad dream. You were a gentleman’s gentleman. You so easily made new friends but treasured old ones. And you had such lofty dreams. Collins my dear friend, may the angels light up your path to paradise. May you walk with the angels to the feet of Jesus. May the Lord give your beautiful family the strength to cope with this very painful loss. If we feel it this much, I can’t begin to imagine what your wife and kids must be going through. Rest in Peace my good friend. Rest in Perfect Peace’.
Singer, Mimi Werna says, ‘You were like a father at a time in my life. You believed in me when I walked to your office in my 200 level and asked for a holiday job. And since then you have been a part of every milestone. I am so heartbroken. Kai. Rest on sir’.
Asher Benson wrote, ‘This is unbelievable. God we desperately need Your grace n strength but that especially for our friend’s family. Words mean nothing hear but I know we have hope’.
