Cosby gained worldwide acclaim for his The Cosby Show that aired between the ’80s and early ’90s, but has had to deal with a number of sexual assault accusations in recent years.
At the moment, he is facing three charges of felony indecent assault off a 2004 incident involving Andrea Constand, an employee at his alma mater, Temple University.
A copy of the doctor’s report to that effect will be made available at the next hearing in the case on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Coupled with being legally blind, his attorneys – Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa – have also argued that Cosby’s mental capacity has ‘substantially declined’, to further buttress the point that he can’t defend himself.
Their motion read, ‘How can a 79-year-old blind man defend himself against a claim that he sexually assaulted someone he supposedly met once, half a century ago?’
It added, ‘The answer is simple: He cannot, and the Commonwealth knows he cannot … Without his eyesight, Mr. Cosby cannot even determine whether has has ever even seen some of his accusers, let alone develop defenses and gather exculpatory evidence. Moreover, Mr. Cosby’s memory has substantially declined in the last decade.’
