Manchester City were too strong for Chelsea as they defeated the Londoners by two goals to clinch the English FA Community Shield trophy, thanks to a double strike by Argentine Striker Sergio Aguero.
City dominated from start to finish of the game as they proved too good to handle for the Chelsea team.
Aguero got the first goal of the game, thanks to an assist by Phil Fonden who placed the pass for him in front of goal before fired in with his left foot.
City continued to dominate the first half of the game with over 60 percent of ball possession as Chelsea continued to find their footing in the game towards the end of the first half.
The second half resumed and City continued to dominate the game with swift passes and counter-attacks which was finally rewarded in the 58th minute. City won the ball in their half and a fast counter saw the Chelsea defenders chasing the ball. Bernado Silva located Aguero who beat the keeper to create space from himself before firing with his right foot to get his second of the game.
Aguero has now scored 201 goals in all competitions for Manchester City making him the Club’s record goalscorer as Pep Guardiola’s men won their first title of the season.
